More stuff

One of the things I'm a bit surprised about is how my mentor upon visiting my studio made me realize the potential in artmaking with the things I was archiving and not actually using.  Newspaper articles, clippings and wood materials. I'm looking beyond the "how" and more into the "why" when it comes to my subjects and information I'd like to share. Cullen also made me write twenty words that best describe my work and informs my process of thinking. These words can also be selected because of the way they are pronounced and look to me.  The personal meaning doesn't have to be exclusive to art. They are the following :

Political, truth, justice, focus, crosshatch, irony, commentary, preposition, Knievel, comic,  masturbate, repetition, Ali, conceptualize, displace, father, trust, overlap, construct, illustrate. Over the next several years I'll add and subtract words as their usage informs my work.
